Anyone going on this trip and departing from Heathrow? Would be good to meet and have a coffee before the flight!

Hi Jenny, sounds a good idea, any suggestions for meeting? Jerry.
3 of us are going on the 7th March . My wife, sister and I. If "cazwiz" or anyone else on this holiday wants to meet up beforehand, leave a suggestion on here, otherwise see you all on the "road"!! Jerry.
Hi Jerry,
I'm going solo and looking forward to meeting you all! I'm likely to be having a mad dash to Heathrow from Birmingham so wondered if people might want to meet up in Delhi airport between flights? I think we have a couple of hours so it could be a good opportunity to grab a meal or snack, have intros, and of course find our connecting flight!
Caroline
Hi Caroline, that sounds a good idea, be good to have a quick tour of Delhi, but I don't think we will have time!!, so we will have a tour of the airport instead!!! We'll look out for you in departure, I will be the bald one!!!
That should have been departure in Heathrow!! Jerry.
I've been following the weather for Katmandu it looks to be a blissful 24C shorts and t-shirts weather. Not sure what to expect for the mountains though. Anyone seen any weather reports for Pokhara and any advice on clothing to pack?
Hi Caroline,
I am amazed at the forcast as well. It does get showery 2nd week I believe. Hopefully not when we go for the early morning sunrise!! and the Everest flight!!
I have checked Pokhara, and it is 30o!!!!
See you there, Jerry.
Hi Jerry,
I was very much admiring your camera on holiday and am considering selling my cumbersome DSLR and getting a nice compact model with a good lens and optical zoom. I've been looking at Panasonic Lumix and have 3 models to ponder. Which do you have and would you recommend it? I'm tempted by the HD video functionality but am wary of spending more on the later models if an older model is just as good.
Hope you're settling back into English well. I'm having a culture shock being back and am browsing brochures for more Himalaya ideas already!
