I can't believe it's only 2 and a bit weeks to go! Have you had your jabs and got your visa and everything?
Sara
Yep, me too. I was going to send off for my visa but have left it a little late! Glad I won't be the only one queuing for a visa when we get there. Have you seen the first hotel we're staying in? It's a palace!
The first hotel was in the joining pack - check out this link http://www.shankerhotel.com.np/ - I kept checking it to make sure it really is where we're staying! I think I've probably annoyed everyone at work too. They're definitely jealous, especially since I showed them the palace! I've been so busy finishing my work that i'm not organised at all. Gotta try and sort out money, passport photos for visa and all the last minute shopping tomorrow.
I'd like to do flight over Everest and white water rafting! Seems a shame to go all that way and miss out on either. What about you? No idea how much money to take to cover all the trips and stuff.
Haha, that makes 2 of us! Will have to make something glam out of microfibre towels and safety pins!
Excellent, so i guess we just need to persuade 2 more people to do the rafting.
I've got about £150 of dollars and gonna take the rest in £s i think + card. Hopefully that'll do - think i read somewhere that you can pay for everest flight on card so should be ok. Do we need to fill in a form for visa or do we do it all when we get there? Got to get passport photos tomorrow.
Yep i'm getting the 10.30pm plane. Do u wanna try and meet at Heathrow? My mobile is 07734 405693 and i'll be wearing red adventure company tags, lol!
Hi Sara,
Yep I'm booked on for the 11th! So excited, not done anything like this before so it's a bit scary to say the least.
Sammy
Yep, got my jabs sorted and malaria tablets ready to go. I'm getting my visa on arrival, that reminds me I need to get some passport photos! Just a couple more bits and bobs to get and waiting for the tickets to come through. I need to decide how much money to take with me as well, haven't got a clue.
Sam
Ooh how did you find that out about the hotels? I'm driving everyone at work up the wall cos I'm getting so excited. I'm taking american dollars over with me cos the travel agent doesn't have rupees! Will have to change them when I get there, ho hum. Are you thinking of doing the flight over Everest or the white water rafting?
Geeze!! It is a palace! And I'm gonna be wearing walking boots trackie bottoms and a fleece! It said nothing about ballroom dresses in the packing list, lol!
I would love to do the two trips if we get the chance, I've never been one to do things by halves.
I'm taking over £500 and a credit card hopefully that should cover me. I'm bound to lose half over it and get the other half stolen!
Are you getting the 10.30pm plane from Heathrow on Wednesday?
