Good Morning Vietnam (teen tour)
Well we are off in a couple of days. Struggling to keep luggage within manageable weight limits - as always! What time do you guys arrive in Hanoi? We will probably be at the hotel about 10.30 on the Friday night. I see we're meeting up on the Saturday at 4. If you are there before, do introduce yourselves - we are the family with 2 tall teenage boys (they'll be giants in Vietnam) 3 gingers (me & the boys) and 1 with dark well grey really hair (Kev). See you soon - v exciting .... Jane

Hi Jane
Good to hear from you!
We are also a family of four, Debbie and Mark, plus kids Rosie (17) and Alice (14).
This is also our third trip with the Adventure Company. We are really looking forward to Vietnam, are you doing the extension to Cambodia as well?
Debbie
Hi Jane and Debbie
We are a family of 2, Henrietta and my daughter Cassie, aged 13. We're also doing the Cambodia extension, but joining you all in Vietnam as we are flying via Singapore to visit friends on the way.
I've never travelled with the Adventure Company before, although I have travelled a fair bit before Cassie was born.
Looking forward to meeting you all and the trip,
Henrietta
Great to hear from you all. We are not going on the Cambodia extension (I am very jealous). We are leaving the UK the week before the Vietnam tour starts and spending the time in Borneo. Then at the end of the Vietnam tour we are staying with our friends in Kuala Lumpur.
Henrietta, when are you arriving in Hanoi? We get there on the evening of Friday 30th March on a Vietnam Airlines flight from KL. We are staying the extra night at the Thien Thai hotel which is apparently the hotel AC are using for the rest of our stay in Hanoi.
No doubt questions will occur to me before we leave so hopefully speak soon.
Jane
I am equally jealous - Borneo is on my list of "must visit"s.
We also arrive in Hanoi on the 30th, sometime in the afternoon. We haven't sorted a hotel yet, we've been told they often change the hotels the company use there, so I did wonder about just choosing a hotel ourselves for one night. I guess I should sort that out fairly soon, or get them to book the extra night also at the Thien Thai hotel too if that is definate now.
Just wondering what everyone's plans are re malaria tablets? Our surgery has suggested we won't need them but has anyone else been given different advice?
Henrietta
Hi there, We are a family of three - Lindsey and Peter with Olivia (15). This is our first family adventure but we've heard great things about them. We're very jealous of those of you who are going on to Cambodia or Borneo but we'll need to get back to work and school! Our doctor recommended malaria tablets because of the Mekong delta part of the trip.
Hi L P & O. I think thats everyone going on the trip now - unless anyone books last minute. Thanks for the tip Henrietta - I shall e mail AC to check the tour hotel in Hanoi is still Thien Thai as we don't want to have to move again. We've been told we don't need to take malaria medication for the mekong so our plan is to slather on the deet as I gather dengue fever is a real problem. Speak soon. Jane x
Hi Jane (and everyone else)
The joining hotel is still the Thien Thai.
We will be sending out final joining information shortly - confirming this, contact numbers in case of emergency, the most up-to-date version of the trip notes etc.
I hope you all have a great time out there.
Kind regards
Sean
Hi All
Good to be in touch!
Henrietta - we were advsied to have malaria tablets for Cambodia, even though we are only going to the touristy areas, so I have got some malarone.
Received our visas today for Vietnam, so getting excited!
Debbie
