Everest Base Camp Solo - 5th October
Hi Guys,
Anybody booked onto this trip yet? I have dropped my deposit and starting to prepare an equipment list. Left it kind of late due to various things, heres hoping I can get my butt into gear in time!
Been watching the Lukla flight videos on Youtube, it looks intense :)
Would be great to hear from anybody else who is going on this tour, maybe we can compare notes?
Cheers,
Rich

Hi Gary!
I bought an Alpkit Down jacket, the "filo" for £75. In all honesty I cant see myself wearing it while trekking, but they are apparently very useful on an evening in and around the lodges.
Figured I would rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it :)
October is meant to be the most popular time of year to go, so 4 seems strangely low! Would be good to get a handful more people on there I think. Not too many mind, I think the full compliment of 16 would be a bit crowded!
Really starting to look forward to it now, I am already in Holiday mode at work :D
Hi Rich,
Have also booked this trip. Seems like there are only 4 of us at the moment.
Great to compare notes on equipment. I am wondering if I need a down jacket. I trek pretty warm and think I might make do with layers and a water/wind proof jacket.
Cheers
Gary
