hey Rob. Yeh im going from LHR to. give us a mail on arl-visuals@hotmail.com and have a chat about stuff
Hey yeh ill be taking a mountain equiptment lightline down jacket. altho iv got a few mates who just got back from there and they had problems with extremely cold feet above 4000m. they advised buying a cheap set of down booties / sock from KTM
about 5-10 quid but well worth it.
Hi Adam,
I am booked for the 5th March departure from LHR. Really looking forward to it. Have you got anything planned in they way of prep/training?
I will be taking my own down jacket. Check out how long you have in KTM. I think our tour arrives mid-pm and leaves for Lukla early next morning so not a lot of time to check out shops etc. Not sure about hiring stuff but there are loads of places in Thamel to buy cheap gear, a lot of which is counterfeit. One lad bought a very cheap "North Face" down bag (about 30 quid as I remember) last time I was there and that seemed to withstand the rigours of a couple of weeks trekking. I am sure the tour guide will be able to advise on reputable places to spend your cash.
Hey Adam. Just a week to go now! One more weekend to shop for gear and bimble up a couple of hills - probably in snow yet again :-( Prob see you at Heathrow friday.
Hi, we are going on the 12th so will probably meet you on your way back.
Can I ask if your planning on taking down jackets or hiring there?
