Hi, I said i would let you know how the Inca Trail went. Got back home yesterday. The trail was fantastic! alot tougher than i thought it would be though. So be prepared with your fitness because even the downhills are hard!! Altitude wise i felt absolutley fine just a little bit short of breath at the higher points of the trail. I would reccomend you take one or a pair of walking poles as from day 2 onwards i found them really useful. Our guide was great and the porters take care of the heavy stuff. The cook had some great soup recipes. Im sure he should bring out a recipe book with them all in it to sell to us all!! When you finally get to the sun gate its such a sense of acheivment and you feel like you deserve to be there unlike the daytrippers. Watch out for the gringo Killer steps on the last day!
have a great time. Enjoy every moment its amazing!
:d/ Just notice the Empire of the Inca Trip for 2 July is now guaranteed! Great stuff!
