Emergency Treatment
Having never been on a tour with Adventures Worldwide, I am not 100% on how they work. We are going on the family tour
2nd April, flying into Dehli on 3rd.
However, my question is regarding Emergency Medical treatment and wonder if either a client or better still, a member of
staff can answer.
I assume the tour leader knows exactly where and how to access emergency medical treatment should the need arise
wherever we may be on the journey?
I would also like to know about the accommodation in the National Park and whether you feel there is a need to take
mosi nets or are there already nets and good window nets?
Still umming and aarring about anti malaria tablets.
Cheers
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn
The group leader carries a first aid kit at all times in case of minor cuts and scrapes.
In the event of medical attention being required (non-emergency) the group leader will take you to the nearest medical clinic or hospital.
In the event of emergency medical attention, the group leader will contact the relevant emergency services. Theyw ill then arrange for you to be taken to the necessary hospital. In this situation you travel insurance should provide assistance too - they may arrange for you to be transferred to a specialist hospital - or in some cases to a neighbouring country that has a higher standard of specialist medical care. This will be down to your individual travel insurance policy though.
For this reason, you should make sure you have your travel insurance policy number, and the 24-hour emergency contact telephone number when you go on holiday. If this information is easy to hand, the group leader can speak with them if you or a travelling companion are unable to.
Regarding the mosquito nets in Ranthambore - it is not necessary to bring any. The accommodation we use provides mesh on windows etc, to minimise mosquito activity in rooms. We would however recommend you take a spray (DEET).
