Yes Keith ~ I like the look and feel of the new website.
A few minor problems still to be ironed out in regard to :
a) the distortions to some photo's: refer ZA and IW members images.
b) absence of titles on new images; they are however shown for some of the images that were migrated. But...
c) some migrated images seem to have acquired some strange 4 digit numeric titles
d) some migrated images have also ended up under the wrong tour. I started looking through images for Cuba (CU) and found some which were submitted by someone who travelled to Vietnam.
It's been a significant development so minor blips are quite understandable. Well worth the investment.
Hi Clive
Yes we have the distortion of your giraffe image noted and are working on this...also the same applies for the titles it needs a bit of attention.
As for migrated images going on the wrong tour that is a bit more baffling and something I will need to do is to trawl the site to rectify. Thanks for pointing these out.

Both the new and old sites are terrible to navigate. The trip information is easy to find, but trying to find reviews, blogs or photos is near impossible - the links are just too well hidden- or absent. And as for trying to find out information about the photo competition i.e. when it started, when it ends, other entries etc. I'm still non the wiser after an hour of searching.......
Dear Sarah
I am sorry that you find it difficult to navigate and we are shortly going to be putting the site through more usability testing scenarios. All of the reviews, blogs and photos are trip specific so we have placed those on the relevant tours but I take your comment about finding a link for all blog posts, so I will see what I can do there.
I will update the photo competition this morning with full details so I apologise for not having this information on the site previously.
Thanks for pointing these things out to me.

What had happened to the information from the previous website relating to departures in October 2010 where I had been in communication with other people on the same trip. Also I was in conversation with another person departing for Base camp on 5th. November and had exchanged several messages through the web site. All this now appears to be lost, even the Archive section in the Forum only gives you an option up to September 2010.
I even had to log in with an new password as the new site would not recognise it. Perhaps it would have been useful if you had sent an email to all users informing them of the changes as it is now likely that a lot of poeple will have been discouraged from using your website.
Please can you help

I will look into this tomorrow - I was under the impression that migrated all of the content from the old forum, I will look into this and will discuss with our web designers.
I am really sorry if we have inadvertently removed any posts this was something we wanted to avoid at all costs.
I like the look of the new website.
