Thanks Keith I have now managed it. I am hoping that someone else on this trip will be willing to meet up at Heathrow before boarding perhaps have a coffee together. I am a bit worried about changing planes and though it would be helpful to see a familiar face when I arrive in Madrid. This is the first big trip I have done on my own so would be grateful for some company. I am looking forward to making contact with the other group members, I am getting very excited about the trip as well as aprehensive, so it would be good to share info ideas etc with each other.
Thanks Cora it was good to get a reply, I have sent you an e-mail. It would be good to hear from any one else on the trip. I have just received my tickets so it really is getting close now I am very excited. Look forward to hearing from yo.
Chris
Hi Chris,
Me and my family will be pleased to meet up with you (& any others) before we set off. We are Cora, Mike, Josie (age 23) and Amanda (19). I'll let you guess our ages!
We are busy sorting out our gear for the trip. We plan to choose sleeping bags tomorrow. I have borrowed for the girls but Mike & I thought that we would finally invest in ones for ourselves. I have just been reading reviews and have shortlisted 2 to try on Thursday in Ellis & Brigham, Covent Garden. We intend to crawl inside each (one synthetic the other down) and then decide. We bought our daysacks, mats and a great duffle bag from Decathlon.
I plan to go on a 7mile walk tomorrow to break in my legs & feet. There are no mountains near us so the North Downs will have to do. I suppose I ought to start using that stepper thing in the gym.
Have you managed any training?
We can agree time & place for the meet once we get our tickets with the check in times on them. But I guess we will be looking at about 4am!
TTFN, Cora
