Always tricky keeping weight down. Walking boots either wear or have in hand luggage.
I have got as much lightweight gear as possible. I put out everything I want to take and then leave at least half of it behind! Packing in see-through zip bags, i.e. underwear in one, t-shirts in another etc. is useful when we have so many different places to stay and little time to find things in the bag. See-through pencil cases are good for camera and phone leads etc.
