Can I skype UK from India?

Hi, can anyone tell me if I will be able to use skype in India back to the UK? It will be my first time away from my children for longer than a few days! I have been told that there is not always enough internet strength to skype? Be grateful for any advice.  Laura-Anne

I'd be interested in knowing this too. I had assumed I would be able to Skype home.
