Hi, we're on the same trip too. Kind of similar in that we're not really prepared kit wise. Still unsure whether it's best to buy sleeping bags and down jackets or hire them out there.. any thoughts?

Me and Ali have bought sleeping bags. I got a Marmot never summer and Ali got Rab Ascent 700w.
We haven't bought down jackets but we have a array of coats,fleece's and base layers.
Are you taking Malaria tablets? some saying yes some say no ??

We've sorted out Diamox but not Malaria tablets. WIll be seeing Medical Practice Nurse about this shortly though as unsure. You're sleeping bags are far better than ours.. an extra layer of clothes may be required!

Still not quite ready Bought the Rab nuetrinoe down jacket. Amazing how small it squashes up I,ve not got Malarie tablets Told by nurse after she checked with TAC that i wouldn,t need them. Look forward to seeing everyone on Monday/Tues
