I'll be on the same trip! Great to hear from someone else who is going. It'll be December before we know it! I'm getting very excited now.
It's the first time I've ever done anything like this and I can't wait. My birthday is on January the 2nd, so I guess we'll be halfway through our trek. Amazing!!

Nope - I'll be in Crete testing my new boots out by by walking down the Samaria gorge! Haven't done any trekking before so more than a bit nervous about the Inca Trail.

I haven't done any trekking before either, so I'm with you and more than a bit nervous! I'm doing the Amazon extension, that's the part of the trip I'm really looking forward to!

No, I'm afraid I am on the Heathrow flight via Madrid (at least I think I am!).....
I made it onto the Madrid flight. Hope you enjoyed Crete! I really do need to get walking some more too. Running out of time! I am not doing the Amazon extension like you guys - what an adventure!
Crete good but new boots meant lots of blisters. Hope they're worn in now.............

I'm actually going to be staying with my brother who lives not far from Heathrow which is a shame as it would have been nice to meet before we all depart! Maybe we could meet in the morning if our timings are roughly the same?
Not sure if you've seen the blog posts from Nicky who is the Reservations Manager, she just recently came back from the Inca Trail and Amazon Extension. Just reading it has made me very excited. Six weeks to go!

Just read the blog now - makes it all seem more real somehow.
My flight is around 9.15 so won't get to the airport until about 6.30am - I think you'll be gone by then and I doubt if I'll get to the hotel in Lima before midnight - will meet everyone for breakfast!

I'm exactly the same as you - have no idea what to bring with me. I was literally just making a list. The only thing on it so far is "walking boots". So don't worry.
