Active Cappadocia

Having tea with the shepherds in the mountains, the optional Hot air balloon trip which was fabulous

[Least enjoyed] The facilities at the camp grounds, which were, as expected ,very very basic ,but nevertheless not pleasant

thought the horse riding was too long. For those without much riding experience 4 hours was a long time in the saddle And for those who could ride the constant slow pace became monotonous. There needed to be a couple more stops perhaps along by the river.

Hotel was fine .Staff were friendly. Food was good and plentiful . Room was fine. Swimming pool nice bonus after hot days

Tuna was brilliant especially with the boys on our trip , explaining things, teaching them Turkish always good humoured

Tatra Teenage Mountains

Walking in High Tatra mountains, rafting, Prague

[Least enjoyed] Not having washing/changing facilities after a hot day in Prague, before boarding the over night train to Slovakia. We were in the same, smelly clothes for over 24 hours! Having to sort out a transfer to Prague airport when the trip details said it was included.

Apart from the above all was great!

Prague hotel was well located & comfortable. The Slovakian hotel was changed from the one advertised & was great! The room was large & had good facilities.

Our guide in Slovakia, Matt, was super. Very enthusiastic.

Tatra Teenage Mountains

rafting and cycling excellent cable cars and mountain hike great slovakian guide - matt extremely helpful and informative - did everything he could to make our holiday enjoyable lovely group of fellow holiday makers

[Least enjoyed] when we arrived at slovakia after spending night on sleeper train we were unable to access our rooms for three hours. we were very tired (and needed showers) and although an earlier than usual check-in was arranged by our guide the three hour wait was awful as we were exhausted.  also a whole day at aqaucity and not getting onto the night train until 10.30pm at night was a drag - it would have been better if we had had the morning free or at hotel and then just spent the afternoon at aquacity.

[Accommodation] hotel in prague was a litle too far away from the centre of town - would have been better if it was nearer the 'old town' A fridge/mini bar in room would have been good so we could keep our watre cool.  hotel in slovakia - we were put in the hotel familiar, which was newer than the hotel siesta next door where we were had expected to stay. The room we had was new and was huge and very clean - fantastic. Only improvement would have been if the shower head had a bracket so that it was fixed to the wall and a shower screen curtain as we only had a hand-held shower head, rather than a proper shower. The fridge in the room was most welcome.

matt was great

Vesuvius and the Green Grotto

[least enjoyed] The Sorrento part- accomodation and other arrangements were poor

The accuraccy of information was good in parts and downright misleading elsewhere. In particular there were no pools at any of the hotels and this was a key feature for me/ my son. Some of the itinery indicated poor local knowledge- our guide, thankfully, was great and 'adapted' the itinery to our benefit. This trip was of a noticeably poorer quality than those I have had in the past with the Adventure Company. I book with the Adventure Co. as my experience has been it sources unusual and sometimes wonderful places to stay- the star rating isn't the point as long as it's clean and and all the basics are in place. This year the places were not wonderful- felt like a package holiday where I could have done better booking accomodation myself.

We were lucky with David- he was friendly, helpful and adapted the itinery to meet our needs, which was key to enhancing some parts of the holiday.

Around the Bay of Naples - Family Holiday

Friendliness and helpfulness of our guide and that fact that he wanted to make sure we enjoyed our holiday - very knowledgable. Having other children of a similar age really made the holiday great for my children.

[Least enjoyed] No swimming pools at some of the hotels (which the children would have appreciated).

Having a kind, helpful and knowledgable group leader makes the holiday much more enjoyable.
