Spectacular Syria

Welcome to the most ancient city on earth. To a land of sand and souks, where travellers are seldom seen and you can slip through the narrow alley ways into treasure-filled bazaars; stand in fountain courtyards and feel suddenly, as if you’ve stepped back in time.

Atlas adventure

I had never been trekking or on a group trip on my own, so I landed with some trepidation at Marrakech airport. My fears were soon allayed, when the group received a warm welcome from our guide, Lahcen, and I was soon surprised at how well we all got on.

Turkish delights

When I booked this trip for me and my teenage son, I wondered if he was too old to go on a family holiday. I shouldn’t have worried. With six adults, five teenage boys and one girl, who soon became more than a match for all of them, our group got on really well.

Elephants and temples

What was it that you liked best about our holiday’, I asked my son - trying to remember all the highlights of our summer trip, ‘the elephant safari, the dugout canoe or reaching the World’s End?’ He thought for a moment then grinned. ‘The brilliant knock-about games on the beach with our Group leader Ruwan’. I might have guessed...the cricket.

I’ve always known Sri Lanka, the land of Serendip and constant surprises, is a ‘top destination’ among our customers – but now that I’ve travelled there with my family, I can understand why.

Felucca adventures

The winner of our writing competition, Julie Musk, tells us all about the Felucca Adventure she had with her family in Egypt.

"Our two children (aged 8 and 10) will hopefully have some great memories of our family adventure experience. The tombs and temples were awesome, full of hidden meanings, which our guide Ahmed did his best to explain. Each visit to a different site reinforced some of what we’d learnt and each place had its own unique atmosphere.

Living the Jungle Book Dream

Having gone to India hopeful of seeing one or maybe two tigers, this trip far surpassed my expectations! If you think of safari trips, then seeing the big five in Africa might spring to mind, but India is an equally fantastic destination for seeing a whole wealth of animal and birdlife.

An Amazing Adventure

A truly fantastic holiday and what an adventure. There were so many highlights that it is impossible to detail them all, the tranquillity of being poled through the Okavango in Mokoro's where there seemed as much wildlife joining us in the Mokoro's as was seen from them, some beautiful frogs which landed on your knee to slightly less beautiful spiders and mantis but great fun.

Hi All

We are booked on to this trip from 11th - 23rd April 2011. It would be nice to hear from others who are doing the same trip. Or anyone who has done the trip before, to share their experiences

thanks

Hi,

I'm just looking into booking my first travelling experience, thinking about the Buddha's Island. Any trips or experiences whether this would be a good start?

Travel Problems

Am booked on tomorrows' Winter Toubkal trek and have just found out that my flight to Heathrow has been cancelled. Is anyone else experiencing problems getting there, or is it just me?

The ironic thing is wanting to do Toubkal in snow - and what is stopping us getting out of this country? Yup - you got it!!!! lol
