NI - Wildlife & Moghul Cities - 26th March

Anyone else travelling to India on this tour starting 26th March.  Not long to go now....

Our Sri Lankan elephant safari was awe-inspiring

I had never really considered Sri Lanka as a safari holiday destination before, but I was reliably informed by a friend of mine that it is one of the best places in the world to see rare creatures in a paradise-like setting. First and foremost, the island is stunningly beautiful and the favourable climate is also a major attraction.

Take the Machame Route for the ultimate Kilimanjaro experience

Scaling the tallest peak in Africa was never going to be easy, especially as I had chosen to take arguably the most difficult and physically exerting route possible. I had been told that there are a number of ways to get to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, but the general consensus was that taking the Machame Route would ultimately provide the most satisfying experience.

All the hard work is worthwhile on the Everest Base Camp tour

Taking on the Everest Base Camp trek is comfortably the most physically exerting, yet ultimately rewarding thing that I have ever done. It is surely one of the most challenging walks that anyone could ever wish to embark on, but the views along the way make all the extra effort worthwhile.

Africa isn't the only place that does safaris

When my partner was pestering me to take her on a safari holiday, my immediate attention turned to Africa, with its huge array of national parks and wildlife reserves strewn right the way across the continent. However, having conducted some research, I soon discovered that there were other options available to us, with India being one of the more intriguing alternatives.

Jordan's huge range of tourist attractions didn't disappoint

For such a relatively small country, Jordan sure does have more than its fair share of amazing world famous landmarks. For people who are enthusiastic about both natural and man-made history, this Middle Eastern country is surely a must-see destination. When I travelled to Jordan, I couldn't make up my mind as to which places I wanted to see the most.

SOS Children's villages escape to Pilanesberg NP on the 13-15 of January 2012

By donating 5$ on each booking for all our South African trips, towards SOS Children's villages, we allow local disadvantaged children to get to see the wildlife on their doorstep at Pilanesberg National Park.

This is a great opportunity to educate them about conservation issues and threat, while ensuring they have a great and inspiring escape from their every day life.

Week-end of 13-15th January safari experience in Pilanesberg NP

Johannesburg to the Cape, 3 Nov 2011

Using my daypack as a pillow and the thick, mown lawn as a mat, I lie down in the warm sun to while away fifteen minutes and reflect on the past eighteen days. I hear the gentle lapping of waves up against the harbour wall, and the low hum of friends talking on the grass nearby, with an occasional interlude of laughter. I look up, and see four groups of uniformed work colleagues, laughing and joking with each other on their lunch breaks. To their right, the water in the harbour gently rolls and shimmers as it reflects the bright sunshine.

Scenic Vietnam

This trip is a great introduction to Vietnam for first timers to the country. You get to experience many wonderful ‘must see’ locations and there’s opportunity to get off the beaten track and experience rural Vietnam too.

Train travel is a big part of this trip with two overnight journeys and one day train on the Reunification Express. It’s a fun, adventurous way to see a lot of the country.
