About yourself

Since having a flair for art since about the age of four, I later pursued a career in Graphic Design. I have now been working commercially as a designer in a variety of industries (with the occasional photography assignment) for five years. When I’m not at work you may find me taking long walks on good days – the more remote the place the better! Or I’ll be dabbling with photography, music and designing/illustrating personal projects.

What do you love most about your job?

Designing marketing material for the Adventure Company with the help of an expansive library of stunning and inspiring worldwide photography - ideal images to look at when it’s raining outside!

What is your most memorable travel experience?

I was sent on a photography assignment with a charity to Sierra Leone in West Africa. Being a third world country, it made me realise how much I took for granted. I met many local people, all with different stories to tell. It was a unique experience to say the least and although I was without my home comforts, I relished it and I was sad to leave. Sierra Leone is a beautiful country and the people I met made me feel welcome with their friendliness and enthusiasm.

Where have you been?

France, Malta, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Holland, Morocco, Tunisia, Croatia, Bosnia, Sierra Leone, Italy, USA, Spain, Greece, United Arab Emirates.

Best travel tip

Baby wipes!!! These are particularly useful when travelling around in hot countries to help you keep clean and refreshed. Or even for when you encounter ‘hole in the floor’ toilets!!!

What inspires you to travel?

Travelling helps me to think outside the box! It enables me to gain perspective on not just my life, but how other people around the globe live. I take an active interest in seeing different climates and cultures, while learning from those experiences.

Which Adventure Company trip is on your wanderlust?

With so many appealing Adventure Company trips it's hard to choose. Being a desert fan (and I've been to a few) I'd have to say our JO trip looks amazing. I've always wanted to camp under the stars Bedouin style and see Petra.
