My Desert Island book would be an Atlas so that I could spend many happy hours remembering my travels and imagining those places I have yet to visit.
Since taking the opportunity to work in France and Greece after finishing University, the travel bug has never left me. I have been lucky enough to travel to many places including Central Asia, West Africa and the USA, to name but a few. I intend one day to be an old lady with a rucksack, spending my kids’ inheritance visiting new places and returning to the others I love. In the meantime being in the travel business allows me to continue my travels alongside the obligations of raising a family.
I hope my enthusiasm has started to rub off on my nearly grown up boys as they embark upon seeing the world themselves. Having two teenage boys I appreciate that they don’t want to spend their holiday lying on a beach with Mum and Dad and would much prefer having fun and travelling with people their own age. Our teenage departures are a wonderful idea, if the kids are happy so are the parents and being able to book with the confidence that other teenagers will be travelling is a sure winner.
