Before joining the marketing department, my most exciting travelling experience was visiting my brother in Japan. After living out there for 9 months he had a great appreciation for the country and had really settled into the community. Having the chance to experience the country with him meant I was given a real insight into Japanese culture – and I loved it!
There were so many highlights to the trip, a party with his friend’s family to celebrate the arrival of the fire flies, a traditional tea ceremony, trying sashimi and finding out it was Koi Karp, reflecting on the effects of war at Nagasaki, and the fun and madness of Tokyo.
