Responsible Travel: Yacuma School
Every three months we take the money donated by you, and give it to one of our carefully chosen projects. Recently, Operations Manager, Graham was delighted to receive an invitation to visit the community of Chontayacu, Ecuador. There he had the pleasure of attending the inauguration of a new village school that the Adventure Company donated US$3400 towards its building costs. In close partnership with our local agent in Ecuador, who is paying the salary of a teacher for the children, the school opened on 26th February with lots of singing and dancing! Photo Competition - Win £500 off your next adventure
Tip: Get close to your subject. Most of us are interested in seeing people’s faces - it communicates a lot about the person and their environment. Really get to know them and try to capture who they are, how they feel and what life is like for them in the one shot. Make sure you get permission before you take the photo.
