Antony Barton
I've worked in the travel industry since 1997, joining The Adventure Company (then Travelbag Adventures) in May 2003. Its a great industry to work in not only because of the fantastic people I work with but also because I love the variety of the trips we offer - there is never a dull day in the office! I don't get to speak to as many customers as I'd like to these days, but when I do, I always enjoy hearing about people's past trips as much as I enjoy sharing my travel experiences. My favorite country has to be Nepal, I think it will be hard to beat the Himalayas for sheer scale and beauty. I travelled on The Adventure Companie's Annapurna Sanctuary in March 2007 and the 9 days trek we did had it all, towering peaks all around us, trekking in snow, passing from village to village and some of the friendliest people I've ever met. My other great passion in life is food and I'm often found enjoying an ale or two around Alton!
